Toy Drive Drop of Point

Our office has been designated as the drop of point for the 2019 Little Mister Guam James Taga II and Miss Pre-Teen Guam Breanna Chovich’s “Spread the Christmas Cheer” Toy Drive. Residents interested in donating Toys preferably in new condition can be dropped off to the Mayor’s Office from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Mon- Fri up until December 20. Toys will benefit the Children undergoing hospitalization at Guam Memorial Hospital.

Gated communities to allow 2020 Census employee access

Attention all Property Manager’s for gated communities within the Municipality of Barrigada. In order to minimize potential difficulties in performing 2020 Census goals and operational plans, we kindly request property managers for identified gated communities to allow 2020 Census employee access to homes within the gated compound. GED Equivalent Diploma

Need your GED Equivalent Diploma. Guam Community College in conjunction with Barrigada Mayor's Office is compiling a list of 13 residents who are interested in signing up to get their Equivalent Diploma free of charge. Classes will be offered at the Barrigada Community Center. A Tentative start date and schedule has been set for Wed. & Fri. from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Healthy Futures Companionship Program

On Friday, November 22, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Barrigada Community Center, the Americorps Guam along with the Serve Guam Commission and the University of Guam Volunteer Center in conjunction with the Barrigada Mayor's Office is inviting all residents age 65 years old or older, who currently have a documented disability and is receiving Public Assistance, to participate in the Healthy Futures Companionship Program. The objective of this program is to promote a healthy future for Americans by improving the quality of life and increasing social ties through group companionship, games, activities, exercises and resource awareness. collection and disposal process

In anticipation of Guam EPA 2020 Abandon Vehicle, Metallic Waste, White Goods, Tires & Electronics disposal, the Mayor’s Office is still accepting applications and compiling a list of Residents information who need to dispose of items to help speed up the collection and disposal process.

Residents are encouraged to leash pet dogs

Residents are encouraged to leash pet dogs. We are seeing an increase in dogs running loose throughout the village and chasing school children walking to and from the Bus Shelter or School. Animal Control complaints have been filed to have loose pet dogs captured.
