Honorable Frank A. Benavente
Frank Benavente is married to Iris Yosinao Benavente. He is the father to Robin, Jennifer, Ericka, Junior, Nikole, Thomas, Natasha, Nalani, Elsie Rae, Frank, Ashley, Amanda and Kamerin. He also has thirty-nine grand children and four great grandchildren.
Born into tradition and raised with respect, Frank’s life’s work has built a legacy of which is now eminent. As our newly elected Vice Mayor of Dededo, his heritage brings an arsenal of moral and ethical values that will be the continuum of a long tradition of excellence.
Born on June 12, 1953, Frank is the son of the late Estella Lujan Anderson Benavente, an adored and respected homemaker who has given nothing but unconditional love for her three sons and four daughters. She was the influential and driving force of Frank’s strong beliefs of respect and family. His work ethic is a transcendence of his father’s cultivation. Juan Guerrero Benavente is a fair, honest and a dignified man. A retired Public Utility Agency of Guam employee and a mentor and advisor to his son, Juan was no stranger to the value of tradition. Like his father before him, they used the land and its abundance of livestock to feed their family. With everlasting tradition, Frank adopted this lifestyle and created an ethical work habit that reflects his dedication to family, friends and organizations.
Frank worked with the Guam Telephone Authority (GTA) for 25 years and earned a legislative award from the Governor’s office for his service and unyielding dedication to the Island of Guam and her people. Even after retiring from GTA, he did not stop there. He was one of the few driving forces behind at the time Senator Eddie Calvo’s senatorial campaign organization. His dedication and professionalism went without notice by the senator, who brought Frank on board his staff to work for two terms. Frank’s leadership, steadfast allegiance, loyalty and selfless service in the Calvo- Tenorio gubernatorial campaign organization accompanied the senator to his electoral seat as the Honorable Governor of Guam.
He later embarked on a journey by working in the private sector for Payless Markets for 15 years. He has built rapport with our local government and other private establishments.
Frank’s life is not all business and politics; any little time he has to spare, he shared with others. He will wholeheartedly go the extra mile by assisting them, whether it would be a ride to a doctor’s appointment, or just taking a few minutes to listen to their concerns. His sincere dedication has also contributed to his community by facilitating in the beautification of his village.
Honorable Vice Mayor elected Frank Anderson Benavente has proven throughout his life that commitment and hard work has benefited his family, friends and community.
